I find it irritating because more often than not, Reflect throws an error during the update process. You can't, for example, go to Macrium's website and find an option to download update(s)/patche(s) for whatever version of Reflect you are using.

The above are basically the only way (at least that I've found) to update Reflect (this is with Reflect Free 6 but I found the same with the iteration of Reflect Free 7 I had installed at one point). Updating when you are in Reflect either via a 'there's a new update' prompt or via Other Tasks > Check for Updates.
